The Michigan Education Association has announced their endorsement of John Cherry in his campaign to represent the 27th State Senate Seat, encompassing portions of Genesee County.
“I greatly appreciate the support of the MEA. My parents and grandparents encouraged me to get an education and made sure I was ready to learn when I arrived at school in the morning. Not all families are as fortunate and it falls on our teachers to step in and not only prepare lesson plans and teach, but to make sure other student needs are met before the school day commences,” said John Cherry. “Educators have been given so much more to do for our students and families than in the past. In Lansing, it’s my priority to get our schools the funding and resources they need.”
